~~ To a Very Special Friend ~~
Being a good friend is really an art-
A wonderful talent
that comes from the heart.
It's knowing the kind thing
To do or to say,
Listening and talking
A problem away.
It's being together
In good times and bad,
And just with a smile
Making each other glad.
It's caring for someone,
And showing it, too,
Thank goodness for good friends-
Friends just like you!

~~ "Hello" ~~
"Hello" is such a little word,
But when it's sent your way
It says so many friendly things
That longer words can't say-
It says "You're being thought about",
It says "You're nice to know"-
Hope it adds a touch of joy-
This little word "Hello."

~~ Your Kind of Friendship ~~
It takes more than caring
To be a real friend;
The nature of friendship;
Requires a blend
Of warmest compassion
And love deep and true
To reach and to comfort
The way that you do.
Because I can see
That your kind of friendship
Is priceless to me.

~~ Birthday Thoughts of You ~~
Your Birthday isn't just a day
That comes and hurries by-
It's a time to think of things
We've shared-
Together--you and I.
It's a chance to say
You're in my thoughts
Very often all year through,
It's a time for me to say
How much I fondly think of you.

~~ Missing You ~~
Whenever I miss you,
It always brings to mind
The thoughts and hopes we shared
And our many happy times.
And the quiet moments, too,
I think of all the things
So unique to me and you.
And though the many miles
Make it seem we're far apart
Warm memories like these
Keep you ever in my heart.

~~ Friends are a Joy ~~
The warmest thoughts
We ever send
Are those that go
From friend to friend.
The happiest wishes
We ever make
Are the wishes made
For friendship's sake.
The loveliest memories
That we know were made
With good friends
Long ago.
The brightest tomorrows
Yet to be,
We'll find in
Friendship's company.

It seems some people have a way
That very few possess--
A way of being gracious,
With special thoughtfulness,
A way of giving all they do
A warm and loving touch,
By sharing acts of kindness
That mean so very much.
It seems some people touch our lives
In all they say and do--
The very dearest people,
People just like you.

What could be nicer
Than seeing your smile--
Being with you
And just talking awhile,
Laughing and chatting
About all that is new,
Fondly recalling
Our memories, too,
And, though we're apart,
I hope we'll soon be
Enjoying each other's
Warm company.

Thoughts
can warm like sunshine
cheer like bright
bouquets of flowers...
Thoughts
can cross the miles
and touch a day
with happy hours...

Being there for each other through laughter or tears,
At each others side for the rest of our years.
My only wish is to be with you my love,
For each day I pray to the heavens above.

But God did promise

comfort for the tears
and a light for the way,
And for all who believe
in His kingdom above,
He answers their faith
with everlasting love.

There's a rare kind of friend
Who knows just what to do
When to talk, when to listen,
How to be there for you.
A friend who inspires you
To grow in new ways,
A friend who'll be there
On both good and bad days.
There's a rare kind of friend
Who makes life worth living
By encouraging, praising,
sharing, and giving.
A friend who can see things
From your point of view,
The best kind of friend,
The rare kind... like you
